How many times have we heard this thought?
How many times have we said this thought?
How many times have we worried?
If you are like me, entirely too many.
Did you know that worry is a sin?
The Lord Jesus puts it this way.
Please read the following verses.
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.
23 Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!
25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Worry can steal your life.
You may be consumed day after day, worrying about what may happen.
Please, please, please understand.
Of course, we might be concerned about what is happening in our lives.
Therefore, do what you can and trust God for the rest.
Push all those problems and concerns that we can do nothing about, unto the Lord our God.
Take them to the throne room of prayer and leave them there.
Every time we take those concerns back into our lives, we sin again.
