“Is Your Faith Strong?”
It is intriguing to read about the resurrection of Christ.
It seems that many of the ones who see Christ do not believe He has risen until they have seen Him personally.
Thomas, a disciple of Jesus is one who needs to see.
Please read the following verses.
24 Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.
25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it.”
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”
27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Every time I read this account, I am reminded that believers today are described by Christ in vs. 29.
We find the perfect definition of faith in Hebrews 11:1
1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
I pray this is where those reading this post find themselves.
If you do still not believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, get into His Word.
Talk to people who do believe and let them explain to you the truth of the resurrection and the wonderful Salvation that Christ offers to all.
No, I have not personally seen the resurrected Christ.
Yes, I believe He has risen.
I have placed my eternal future in His hands.
Please allow the Holy Spirit to tell you His truth and baptize you into the Body of Christ.
