It is a pleasure and a privilege to have your child attend the New Paris Church of the Brethren Awana program. We look forward to getting to know you and your child. We strive to provide a fun learning environment that creates excitement and a desire for children to discover more about Christ.
Awana stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” It is based on the Bible verse 2 Timothy 2:15, which says:
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
Children learn about God’s Word and memorize scripture to build a solid foundation in their faith. They also enjoy singing, playing games, participating in theme nights, and receiving awards for their accomplishments.
Awana nights are on Wednesday evenings, September through March. We begin with supper at 5:30 PM and end the evening at 7:30 PM.
